from this point forward, chess’ default point in his timeline is when he’s 22. he has slowly drifted away from wetwork to automotive mechanics.
back before he turned 20, with the money he’s accumulated through his contracts, he’s bought an old garage and opened up his own mechanic shop. the purpose was initially to clean up his cash, but soon his interests turned more and more towards mechanics, and it’s slowly become his primary work.
he’s a boss now, hiring a couple other mechanics (a gruff old man whom he personally saved through his old profession and feels in debt to him, and a young man he hired after posting want ads) to take care of most of the repairs.
he still likes to spend time at the garage and work on his bike and give a hand when he’s not doing anything. he still lazes about, but this time in his apartment and in his office instead of public spaces.
despite his change of career, he’s still as dangerous as he’s always been.
