Cut because of a rant concerning a Persian lady general who was amazing and is ridiculously underrepresented in any medium concerning the Greco-Persian wars.

1. You’re stranded on a deserted island for 5 years with enough food to ration out for 5 people. What 4 sims would you prefer to be stranded with (i.e Bella Goth, PT#9)
Tank Grunt (survival training = shelter), Lilith Pleasant (snark = entertainment)*, John Mole (engineer/mechanic/technonerd = radio transmission that will get us off the island...after five years -- also, possibly robots! island living would be better with robots), and Tara Kat (because why the hell not?).
*Totally not an excuse for my OTP to be forced together. At all.
2. Favorite TS2 Expansion Pack?
Seasons! 90% of that is because of the gardening, I don't use a lot of seasons stuff. But the gardening.
3. Favorite non-sims game?
Favorite non-sims game, singular, is Dragon Age: Origins, without a doubt. Favorite non-sims game series is Mass Effect. What can I say? I'm a BioWare girl. The first computer RPG I ever played was Baldur's Gate II when I was seven (I still haven't won it).
4. Are you a cat person or a dog person? (or both?)
Cat person, but I have been known to like some dogs. Some being one, named Kyra. I think it's different if they're my dog.
5. If you had a time machine but could only use it once (return flight included), where would you go? What would you do?
The Battle of Salamis in 480 BCE, to see Artemisia I of Caria be the best damn general the ancient world has ever known. She was the best. Not only was she a female general in ancient times which was a feat in itself, she was such a fantastic military leader that she was even praised by Herodotus who was on the other side of the war. Also she was Persian and Darius I/Xerxes I era Persia was really progressive compared to some other ancient cultures -- including Greece, which may have come up with philosophy but also sucked in a lot of ways. Persian women could own land, get divorced, run their own businesses. And when Darius I conquered someone, he let them keep going about their normal lives and practicing their religion and being with their families because he knew that attempting to control people's most fervent beliefs was a terrible idea.
That was a rant, but it was an important rant because Ancient Persia is ridiculously overshadowed by Greece and no one has ever heard of Artemisia outside the hugely fictionalized version of her in that new 300 movie, which is spectacularly annoying.
6. Favorite TS2 neighborhood?
Pleasantview. It's the only one that consistently holds my interest no matter what family I'm playing with. Which I know is sort of sacrilege when you think of Strangetown, but the Smiths are so boring.
7. What’s one fact that most people are surprised to learn about you?
I haven't been to school since kindergarten. I was unschooled instead. College is the first "official" education I've ever had. It's funny because this is so normal to me that I completely forgot that it's usually surprising to other people.
8. Are you excited for The Sims 4? Will you buy it when it comes out?
I preordered it already. I tend to jump the gun a little, especially with video game franchises I adore (also pre-ordered DA: Inquisition -- that's going to be my brother's Christmas gift to me).
9. If you could have any premade/s return for TS4, who would they be? And why?
The Pleasant twins I guess, though I doubt EA will follow my head-canon for them. Because they have my favorite dynamic. A teenaged Don Lothario would be super fun though.
10. Who is your favorite celebrity at the moment?
Scarlett Johansson, because she is incredible. Everyone has a thing for Scarlett Johansson and if you say you don't, you're lying.
11. Have you ever played TS3, if so what were your thoughts?
I have quite a few TS3 expansions, though only 2-3 will work at a time on my computer. My family keeps buying them for me. I occasionally like it, but I can't play families in it without getting really bored so it gets old fast. I do really like World Adventures, though it's kind of pointless when you've finished most of the quests.
