Request:could you do a Jongho (ateez) x top! Male reader? No smut, just Jongho trying to make the reader feel better after reader was told his grandfather is deceased :[
Y/n hasn’t been okay the past few days. He looked down and wouldn’t talk that much to jongho or to anyone in general. Jongho knew something was wrong but didn’t know what exactly.
Today was kinda the same day as the past few days. Y/n was closed in his room.
Jongho ,wanting to help y/n to feel better and make him forget whatever was going through his mind, decided to knock his door and get in.
As he entered he saw y/n lying on his bed, looking at the ceiling , lost in his thoughts, with a sad look in his face.
Jongho , not wanting to distract him, just lied next to him but facing him.
“You know you can talk about anything with me” jongho said quietly.
Without breaking contact with the ceiling , y/n started tearing up.jongho understanding that he may needed some space , he didn’t say or do anything except from leaning to him as a way to show that he is there for him.
That was also quite unusual for jongho too , since y/n always been the one that consoled him and almost never the other way around.
“Whenever you feel like you are ready to talk , I’m here ,take your time..”
After a few minutes of y/n sobbing and kinda calming down he was able to tell something to him.
“You know.. my grandpa..” he said as he started crying again
“He was a great man..” y/n continued but he couldn’t really speak from crying.
“Shhh..take a breath , it’s okay..”jongho said to calm him down.
From what y/n had said so far to him he understood what happened, and he knew that even though he knew he should let him talk about it so he can feel better.
“I really loved him.. he was like a father to me ..he played a big role to my life and thanks to him I am who I am today..and he is not alive anymore..”
While talking jongho had moved him to his hug and while he talked he brushed his hair.
Silence sometimes is the best answer.y/n just said it aloud and he thought he should let him process what really happened, and understand that it’s real. He has been trapped in his thoughts for too long in this matter .
They said like this all night , and y/n couldn’t be more thankful for having jongho by his side
