Hi there, thank you for the Ask!

Technically, (and I'm simplifying here for the sake of brevity) it was Ted Koplar (and his father Harold) who were doing the real estate, and not specifically WEP (the company responsible for Voltron). The Koplar family had multiple companies involved in different types of business, including real estate, but also broadcasting (radio, TV, satellite), video production, animation, and more.

The real estate side of their businesses always jumped out at me the most, because that was a Thing in the 70s-80s. You'd have these companies doing real estate, radio/TV stations, pro-wrestling-or-sports, and all of a sudden they "diversified their portfolios" (all the rage in the 80s) by purchasing IP for TV, film, and animation that had already finished their original broadcasting runs. Most of them don't bother making anything new, they just sit back and wait for other companies to come to them for a licensing deal. Some of these companies picked up Japanese cartoons, dubbed them in English, and sold toys and cereal advertising.

WEP picked up Golion, Dairugger XV, and Albegas to smash together into a dubbed cartoon with enough episodes to meet US broadcasting requirements (Albegas got tossed, and never used)...and sold a ton of Voltron toys. They have some other animation IP too, but honestly their other shows aren't very good and I highly doubt anyone will ever want to license them. Voltron is the only IP they have that's valuable.

So anyway, real estate is shady AF, so this VLD NFT thing fits so well with the kind of money laundering and tax evasion that happens in real estate.

The bird I like least is not a bird, it's the Lymantria dispar caterpillar and its larval form Hypena horsfieldii, which is a bad bug in terms of behavior (like, the thing where they fly out of nowhere and start attacking people is kind of fucked up, and it's also an invasive species)

What's your favorite mainline game?

My favorite Pokemon are : most bird Pokemon tbh!! Greninja, and espurr (espurr is my favorite Pokemon design of all time it's literally so good)

Oh boy this is a tough question 😳 I think I’d say my favorite Pokémon game is HeartGold and SoulSilver! They did everything right with that one I think. The amount of content is staggering like the art, the music, the companion pokemon!! OUGHH it’s all SO good. I’m going to replay HG soon!! But legit this time.. cuz every time I “replay” it I just hack in a level 100 shiny legendary and ruin the experience 😭

Ruby, Sapphire, and Emerald also hold an extremely special place in my heart. I’ve been playing pokemon games for as long as I can remember but literally one of my formative memories was playing Emerald for the first time on my new Game Boy Advance when I was like 4 or 5. To this day I still burst into tears whenever I hear the RSE OST lmao. I adore Diamond/Pearl/Platinum too!

Also controversial opinion but I think Sun and Moon were FANTASTIC. they haven’t really come close to topping it since imo. Although I will give Sword and Shield credit for having the highest amount of favorite new pokemon in it. seriously they went off with Corviknight, Snom, Cramorant, and Toxtricity

In terms of spin-offs I love all of them (except pokemon rumble, I’ve never gotten around to playing that one) My faves are Mystery Dungeon Explorers of Time/Darkness, XD: Gale of Darkness, and Pokemon Pinball RSE. which I’m amazed my copy has survived for this long cuz I’ve had that thing literally since it came out

Honestly I just go on my phone or to 'go to the bathroom' n scroll thru social media when my parents make me watch a movie or show w them.
