I love your drawings of Evil Sun, the boy is as handsome as he is depressed. And if, analyzing it, he doesn't really seem like a villain, at least of the "evil" type, he seems more like a very gray anti-hero who only cares about himself and his affairs. Because like he said, he could have killed Moon, but he didn't, despite clearly not liking the Moons, simply because he seems to have better things to do. I have a strong theory that this boy would have several cats since no one could stop him, what do you think?
Oh yes! I definitely see "Evil" Sun as more morally gray than evil. He seems to be doing what he thinks is right and wasn't planning on doing anything to moon unless he became a threat to him. So I thought Moon calling him "Evil Sun" was a little bit of a stretch
Also can I just say how much I love the direction they went with this version of Sun. Him being kind of emotionless and just not giving a shit about anything was great
Another thing I liked is that he was shown to be really intelligent. It shows that our Sun could be just as smart, maybe even smarter than moon if he wanted to, and be more than "the dumb one"
(Not saying Sun isn't smart of course)
But anyway I hope they bring this Sun back in the future because I love him and he is rotting my brain (/pos)
Interview today. Absolutely shitting my pants :)
Nobody told me that there is now a better disc than blu ray now and my stupid ass bought a copy of Train to Busan without even thinking twice about the packaging because a) I'm a whore for physical media, and b) it was one day shipping. Took three tries in my player before I realized that it's too advanced for it and it doesn't fucking recognize the disc. I'm kinda upset. I really wanted to watch it tonight. I genuinely thought they chose to go with black instead of the classic blue bluray packaging bc it fit the cover better. Reaching levels of stupidity I didn't even realize I could. Good lord
Did Atsushi Ohkubo ever explain how Meisters and Weapons got paid? Like. Not the students. I do remember that they recieved a weekly allowance. I'm talking graduates.
I know for damn sure Spirit isn't standing around looking pretty and blowing all his cash on booze and hookers on a job to job paycheck. Especially with how little he seems to do. The guy has to have some sort of salary, right?
Disregarding the idea that he might just be doing shit off screen. But, like. He is Lord Death's personal weapon, isn't he? That's what a death scythe is, right? So as long as Death himself isn't out on the field, Spirit wouldn't be either.
Completely useless worldbuilding shit to speculate about, but I started thinking about it too hard and now I'm curious.
In a similar vein, does it also count as some sort of fucked up government/military job? Or is the program privately owned?
I haven't watched Soul Eater in twelve years lol
Triana Orpheus is the most "Just Some Guy" character in that she sort of just watches all the whimsy and magic happen in complete bafflement, even when it's coming from her own family. Not something you'd typically see with a goth character, which only makes the concept all the more delightful to me. She's so wonderfully normal compared to the rest of the cast.
The fact that her mom's a sorceress and her dad's a necromancer means nothing. The fact that she lives on a compound that belongs to a washed up super-scientist/former boy adventurer also means nothing. She goes to public school and parties and concerts and stays out late and gets drunk with her friends and sympathizes/occassionally hangs out with her socially stunted teenage neighbor, and her dad calls her pumpkin and leaves lasagna for her in the fridge and records little voice memos for her in case she gets home and he's not there—all while her father's landlord and his family regularly experience the weirdest, most out there comic book bullshit right there in her back yard.
She's almost completely detached from it I adore her for that.
Is2g if JFK and Joan break up just so she can end up w Abe I'm going to commit arson
