Isabella tiger moths are native to Southern Canada and the United States. They are generalist feeders.

Walked the Crook today and spotted a Wooly Worm. Crookie almost caught Chippy a few times. Kept chasing the little guy between the vines at the base of the bird house and the gutter. Even managed to catch him and flip him once, but the little guy ran away. Chippy breathes tonight solely because Crookie is a cat that plays with his catches. Does make me wonder, though. Do cats improve chipmunk survival skills by catching and releasing them? Do the trauma learned skills a chipmunk might learn from such an encounter get passed on to the next generation?
