Greater is He - Day 5 - Bridge
Greater is He - Day 5 - Bridge
He does all things, all things well
“Then He commanded them that they should tell no one; but the more He commanded them, the more widely they proclaimed it. And they were astonished beyond measure, saying, “He has done all things well. He makes both the deaf to hear and the mute to speak.” Mark 7:36-37 NKJV
There are two principals in these two verses that will cause your life to increase and prosper in everything you do.
1. When something is done well the word gets out.
Jesus is anti promoting in Mark 7:36. He is literally telling people not to spread the word. But in-spite of the counter intuitive promotional campaign the word spread even more! You don’t need the latest technology, the latest strategy, or a big budget to succeed. You need to operate with excellence.
Do you see a man skillful in his work? He will stand before kings; he will not stand before obscure men. -Proverbs 22:29
God’s spiritual, physical, and mental principals work for everyone. The law of gravity holds the righteousness and the wicked down. The sun rises and the rain falls on the sinner and the saint. God’s principal of the skillful stand before Kings works for everyone.
When anyone asks world famous entertainer Steve Martin how to make it in show business his answer is always, “Be undeniably good.” I love that. Steve Martin is right. He has performed before Kings. The first key to success is to be undeniably good. Pursue excellence. You will prosper.
2. Live a supernatural life.
After they marveled at Jesus’s excellence they were in wonder at his supernatural life. Jesus walked in the supernatural all day every day. John declares that if they had recorded everything he did all the pages in all the world couldn’t contain the books that would be written. And we are designed and empowered to do His works and greater.
God has a place for you in the supernatural where in spite of your surroundings, in spite of your current obscurity, the supernatural word is going to get out. God does all things well. He has put you on this planet for such a time as this. He has placed the deepest desires of your heart there as the floor of your destiny not the ceiling. Do all things well and live in the supernatural. You will stand before kings. You will not stand before obscure men.
Greater is He - 4 Chorus Part two
Greater is He - 4 Chorus Part two
Greater is He than what's been done
Greater is He than what's to come
He's Greater He's Greater
God has already removed and forgotten your past.
Psalm 103:12 As far as the east is from the west, So far has He removed our transgressions from us.
Micah 7:19 He will again have compassion on us; he will tread our iniquities underfoot. You will cast all our sins into the depths of the sea.
Hebrews 8:12 For I will be merciful toward their iniquities, and I will remember their sins no more.”
Isa. 43:25 “I, I am he who blots out your transgressions for my own sake, and I will not remember your sins.
He has already established your future.
Psalm 37:22 for those blessed by the LORD shall inherit the land, but those cursed by him shall be cut off.
23The steps of a man are established by the LORD, when he delights in his way;
24 though he fall, he shall not be cast headlong, for the LORD upholds his hand.
25 I have been young, and now am old, yet I have not seen the righteous forsaken or his children begging for bread.
He is greater than whatever you are facing in the present.
Greater is He - Day 3- Chorus Part 1
Greater is He that lives in me
Greater is He than everything
He’s Greater He’s Greater
Ye are of God, little children, and have overcome them: because greater is he that is in you, than he that is in the world. -1 John 4:4 KJV
1. A Childlike heart is the key to receiving from God. (Matt. 18:2-4)
Jesus said that you will never enter the Kingdom of Heaven without being like a little child. I want to give you three things a child knows that an adult easily forgets.
a. I have a need. I can’t meet that need.
Children know that they have needs they can’t meet without help. They ask without pride or reservation because they recognize their need and their inability to meet that need.
In Mark chapter 5 there is a woman with an issue of blood who has tried everything in her power to meet her own need and she’s only gotten worse. In John 5 at the pool of Bethesda Jesus asks a cripple man if he wants to be healed and the man replies “I don’t have anyone to help me”. Both of them received what they needed from Jesus. To receive anything from God you must know that you have a need that you can’t meet.
b. Kids persist without exception. Just keep asking.
One day Jesus told his disciples a story to show that they should always pray and never give up. “There was a judge in a certain city,” he said, “who neither feared God nor cared about people. A widow of that city came to him repeatedly, saying, ‘Give me justice in this dispute with my enemy.’ The judge ignored her for a while, but finally he said to himself, ‘I don’t fear God or care about people, but this woman is driving me crazy. I’m going to see that she gets justice, because she is wearing me out with her constant requests!’”
Then the Lord said, “Learn a lesson from this unjust judge. Even he rendered a just decision in the end. So don’t you think God will surely give justice to his chosen people who cry out to him day and night? Will he keep putting them off? I tell you, he will grant justice to them quickly! But when the Son of Man returns, how many will he find on the earth who have faith?” Luke 18:1-8
Children are persistent. They ask, and ask, and ask. When they want something you know about it, and hear about it, you see it, and are reminded of it continually. God will not keep putting you off. Keep asking in faith. Keep seeking. Keep knocking. He will answer.
c. They believe what Daddy says.
Who has believed what he has heard from us? And to whom has the arm of the Lord been revealed? Isaiah 53:1 ESV
Children naturally trust what their parents tell them. When my girls believe me and trust me when I say I am going to do something it makes me so happy. When I see that look of trust as they jump in my arms it makes me want to wrap them up in my arms. God is the same way. When you trust Him he wraps his strong arms around our lives in protection and provision.
2. And HAVE overcome them - PAST TENSE overcome.
Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen. Hebrews 11:1
Future faith has not yet received anything from God. Faith is the present moment substance of things hoped for. While hope is always future tense faith is always present tense. It is the unwavering present evidence of possessing God’s promises and victory. He HAS overcome so we HAVE overcome. You have already overcome whatever life has delt you. You have already overcome whatever sin that easily besets you. It is finished.
3. Greater in you. You have everything in you for a miracle out come.
When I was in trouble I didn’t look to the hills. I looked within me. -Kenneth Hagin
In the Old Testament the psalmist (Psalm 121) looked to the hills to find where his help came from. The Lord did come to help, but he came from the outside. Thank God we have a better covenant where the greater one is in us! You don’t have to trust in an outside source you have an inner witness! You have the greater one in you!
When the trials and difficulties of life come, when the storms blow, we don’t look to the hills. We don’t look for an outside source, because greater is He that is in me than he that is in the World!
