Conference.
You'd think that with all the evil in the world, the UN would hold more conferences.
I mean, don't get me wrong, recycling and climate change are all super important topics, but seriously, people in Africa are dying of starvation while people in America die of obesity. That's just not right.
There's something about conferences that just seems a little awkward to me, really. I think if I were a business person, I'd wind up sitting there terrified, surrounded by corporate minions, wondering why i was even there. Surely the whole purpose of conferences is to work things out, right ? Well, how is that supposed to happen if the creative minds are afraid to voice their ideas ? I know I wouldn't utter a single word while those ravens of the industry were watching me.
The dictionary says that a conference can be an exchange of views. Does that mean that an event as small as a pub discussion on killer whales in captivity or the corruption of the UK government would count ? I guess I always thought conferences were for banks.
