The thing about Wordle being the new craze is that… I have to admit I’m really not good at Wordle. Very much not my strength. Like, I’m not great at crosswords, but I’m ok, and I’m better at figuring out the meaning of clues than staring at a partial word and figuring out what could fit. When you strip out all meaning, I just stare at the partial word and flail. Like that thing where you say a word enough it doesn’t sound like a word, except it’s all words. I just mentally run through my remaining letters frantically going “is this anything??”

For yesterday’s wordle I guessed GNOLL just for the heck of it, assuming it’s not in their dictionary (it’s not) but then the actual answer was KNOLL. Which I believe is pronounced the same way? I never really thought about it. You could have a gnoll on a knoll…
