The Rain

Time seems to pause

or at least slow down for a moment.

It’s when you only see grey in the sky

and the sun seems to be shining everywhere.

It brings clarity and a sense of surrounding with it.

God is in the rain, that’s what they said.

I can feel it in every drop.

All my senses are heightened;

I smell the water in the air, 

I feel the breeze as each droplet falls,

I hear the song of peace when they find the earth,

And I see serenity, 

I see a wave of calm, coming just for me.
