She sits perched on the edge of a dried up tree-stump, basket in her lap and her big, blue eyes slowly falling closed every few seconds despite her best efforts to keep them open. She’s not sure how long she’s been on the move but it is definitely time to rest before she falls over. In any case, the child is incredibly worried and horribly lost. Things here don’t look familiar and while she has never been afraid of things that go bump in the night, she is afraid of anyone that might find her and have bad intentions. Sometimes, so-called normal people are much more frightening than those deemed as monsters...
It’s when her naturally heightened senses pick up on movement nearby that her eyes shoot open and she tightens her hold on her basket, intending to protect the precious burden inside.
