Words I Tell Myself
T H E B L A N K P A G E // My pages have been blank as of late. Somehow it seems like I need to wait until my life starts to jot down what I need to say. I feel like I need to graduate or get on a plane to take my first trip to New York or Paris or Scotland or Rome. I feel like I need to do something grand, escape from this small town. Only then can I truly fill the blank page with adventure and truth and love and a life worth reading. Only then can my story be told, because it's interesting. My current life isn't interesting. That, though, is a lie I need to stop telling myself. Around every corner, around every bend in the commute to school and work, is an opportunity to live and to see and to breath in the beautiful craziness of this life, and to tell it as it is, raw truth. There is no waiting to be done. Write about the messy rooms and the rainy drives and the days that never seem to make it to the horizon. Don't wait for an adventure to Paris or New York to start your story, start in now. In the midst of red lights and spilled coffee and broken words and hellos and goodbyes. Because this, this is life. #wordsitellmyself #messywrites #selectedampersand #vscocam #thatsdarling #fromwhereiwrite
