OK, so I need to go on about this bitch right here for a while. What a fantastic character. You can just tell that Lee Pace is absolutely living it up in this role. The clothes, the hair, the eyes, the jewelry. Thranduil is what you get if you mix Madonna with Loki and then make him super flamboyantly yet threateningly gay. He’s just a king and a queen and he’s the best. 

And he’s so fun to write! Such an iconic bitch. So much sass. So much unmitigated twat energy. He knows how to get what he wants, and he is NOT doing anything he doesn’t feel like doing. And that includes helping a neighboring race of creatures in trouble battle a fucking dragon. Nope. Not a good use of his time.
