@edrick-rolling asked:
"Mr. Blight!!! Wait up!!! Mr. Blight!!! " The halfling teen called after the older witch, running to catch up with him. "Hey, uh. You dropped this." He spoke, holding up a broken necklace chain and a wedding ring in his palms.
At first Alador was mildly annoyed. He didn’t leave his manor very often now and days. Not since he had to say goodbye to his family some years ago. So he had been hoping this quick trip to the school would be brief. But now some random kid was calling after him. He groaned and rubbed the bridge of his nose for a moment, ready to try and end this conversation quickly.
And then he saw it.
Immediately he brought his hand up to his neck, checking for the chain he had kept so close to his person. As expected, it was not there. The witch wondered when could the ring had fallen off but well, that didn’t matter. He quickly pulled out a clean handkerchief from inside of his jacket, and wiped his hands clean of leftover abomination goop before gently taking the piece of jewelry back.
“...Thank you, young man. I don’t know what I would have done if I had lost this.” He slid the wedding ring onto his left hand before slipping the chain into his pocket. That could be replaced but just in case, he could keep better track of the ring when it was actually on his finger.
“I suppose I should probably give you a reward for finding something so important to me. Name your price.”
