I used artificial red light with a blue in the background to create the colour scheme of this image

i’ve kept the warped effects of the lighting in this image as petra’s work tends to exhibit this aspect as well, showing the rawness of an image instead of focusing on the perfect outcome

exploration of rubber hose animation

rubber hose is one of my all time favourite styles although I’ve personally found it hard to draw but with practice I am very excited to see how this style could develop for myself

by using a textured blue as a background for my diorama it feels as though the space is open to the outside world

the blue acts as if it were the sky and with the shadows cast by the material over the top of the diorama it creates the illusion of sunlight

therefore connecting the real world to my model

by using two different vantage points you can see how scale effects an image

scale has a large impact on how one feels towards a space as it can change the emotions of everyone individually, therefore meaning everyone has their own personal experience

by removing possible exterior context from this image it leave you to focus on the lighting and interior space of my diorama

therefore this leads you to forget the scale of the diorama and perceive the space as if it were life like

here i have taken photographs within my diorama which shows what you may see if the diorama was large enough to fit inside of

by using two different vantage points in my images, i am attempting to show a few aspects of the interior space to make it easier for the imagination

the first image looks as if you have just entered the room whereas the second looks as if you are above the space and looking into it, as if you were on a balcony above
