I’m almost done crocheting a baby blanket for WorkBro’s future son, with soft sunny yellow yarn. (I also bought a cute Batman onesie which is becoming my friend’s-new-baby tradition.) Today he sent me a photo of the room they’re getting ready for the baby, and it’s all sunny yellow! I’m so excited it’s going to match and look cute!
WorkBro just texted me because he met a new student from Yantai, the (fairly obscure) city where I first lived in China. I can not believe that he remembered where I lived 10+ years ago! I have close friends and family members who are vaguely aware that I lived in some place in China that wasn’t Beijing or Shanghai. I feel so seen right now!

anyway work sucks but my coworker is a splendid weirdo which is pretty much par for the course. he's a cosfighter which means he dresses up as Link and does professional wrestling. you can't make this up.
