There’s no actual scenes like this happened in WOD, the winter was only mentioned in some of the chapters.

But I’ve always wanted to draw them because the idea of them cuddling in the cold, blankets all around and they had their lil fort set inside a school. Shane teaching Daryl so many things and learning from him as well. This is where their something started to become bigger and stronger. This is where and when they started to bond deeply as a couple, soulmates, husbands, whatever you wanna call them.

So yeah, you have NO idea how excited I am for the WOD MIDQUEL. LOL.

okay *deep breath* well actually I may have to take a lil credit from the necklace thing? Because Higgy once told me that this idea is inspired by one of my old illustration “both”, in which I drew Daryl holding Rick’s gun and wearing Shane’s necklace. 

And man she really made swapping the necklace their own thing in WOD, so sweet and so fucking lovely it’s their lil gesture showing trust and love and a;slghalsjthlaksgja;sdlf

(omg it makes me wanna draw the part that Shane said to Daryl “it’s just a stupid necklace” “nowhere near as important as this” *ugly sobbing on the ground*)

So every time this necklace comes up into my mind I will go into a full sharyl crazy mode lol.

ugh okay so the 11, 13, 15 chapter is purely accidental LOL

Speaking of the unique headcanons from WOD, nothing can compare to this nutella and peanut butter than anything for me. I especially love the above sentence said by Daryl, which i put in the drawing. It shows how relaxed and comfortable they are around each other. Even they’re nowhere near finding the others of the group. It’s started to feel like the two of them against the world.

Also it does things on me lmao, like there’s a time I went into a supermarket and the jars of nutella and peanut butter just innocently standing there on the shelf. And I stand very still, just staring them, then I started to grin widely LOL.

I believe that’s the strangest thing ever happened in that supermarket lmao.

WOD emotional time lol

i just love how their relationship slowly begin to progress, unlike the beginning of the fic, they just needed the release. I can’t remember correctly if this is the first time they ever kissed each other so gently like this. But Shane tried his best to understand Daryl, just be there for him, no judgement or anything. And Daryl can feel it inside that this “something” is growing.

*cough*of course Daryl in Shane’s big shirt is super super hot ugh*cough*

chapter 11 and 16 seems to be the top chapter that i re-read them the most, I love that Higgy used never have I ever for them to get to know each other better. It still makes me smile when I think of their conversation about Daryl’s weird hair color, which can change from gold to dark brown depending on its length, and Shane threatening to cut it when he finds a pair of scissors LOL.

Also the game make their relationship changed a lil, from nothing to their “something”. So this is why i love this part so much.

*couch* of course the part Shane fingering Daryl is so fucking hot *cough* 

i think i’ll probably cry because i’m an emotional baby and thinking all the things they’d been through and now it’s all perfect all differences works out FUCK I CAN’T
