Today was my first day leading an activity all by myself, at work. We made wreaths and sun-hats. I believe they all had a good time, socializing and crafting. I love this job!
Mall Job
An old man just spoke to me about cellphones, watch bands and his lost wife (somewhere in the mall-not heaven) and it was the most entertainment I've had all day. It could of been the coffee high. Someone save me!!!!!!!!!!!
Aghhhhhhhhhhhhh!
The Lord really does work in mysterious ways. Mad props to the pops upstairs. I was offered a job today and gave my two weeks, just now. I should be home in Lex very soon and starting my life up again. Soon, I'll be focusing on me and my future-in one perfect place!
Warning- Rant tastic.
Soooooo, today is my school day, I have classes all day and my work has worked out my schedule to allow me a day off to devote to my degree. A perk of the job was emailed to me yesterday-a free coupon to an opening of a new restaurant in the student center to student affairs staff. I'm on break between classes and took advantage of the offer. To my surprise, being dressed as a student means being treated like one! I was appalled to be cut in line by two student affairs employees. I also was witness to the groveling of restaurant workers to the out of call demands of certain ladies in dress suits from the department! It is remarkable what a baseball cap and sweatsuit outfit can do, as people who recognize me in my work attire, ignore me in my school attire. It was a nice undercover operation from an anthropologist in study. One overall observation-do not get in the way of women who believe they have worked hard to deserve free food, as they are determined and will not humble themselves to be grateful to the actual offer at hand-they deserve more and will cut the very students they serve to get it...
