Lying Hamstring Curl: Attach the strings to ankle and anchor the other end to the door. Lie down on the belly 3-4 feet away from the door. Bend both legs together and move heels towards buttocks keeping calves and feet relaxed. Slowly return leg to beginning position and repeat for 10-15 times, before switching sides.
Glute Bridge: Place bands just above knees. Lie on back with feet on floor, hands at sides and bending knees at 90 degrees. Lift with your hips to shoulders until they align. Squeeze glutens and abs through the movement. Target is 15-20 repetitions.
Standing Hip Abduction: This involves a balancing act. Loop one end of resistance band around a sturdy object and other end at ankle. Step out to create tension on the band. Move the outer leg up and straight out as far as possible, contracting outer glutes. Lower back down to the starting position and repeat 10-15 times on each side.
Seated Hip Abduction: Sit at the edge of the flat bench with your back straight and feet on floor. Tie the loop band around legs at the knees. Place feet broader than the shoulders. In one single motion, push knees away from each other and then bring back, touching each other. Target for 15 to 20 repetitions.
Clamshells: Lie on your sides with knees slightly bent to 90 degrees. Loop band around legs above knees. Pull knees apart, when contracting glutes for two to three seconds. Slowly return to starting position and repeat. Aim for 10-12 repeats.
Lateral Band Walk: Keep the band flat and place them above each ankle wrapped around both legs. Position feet shoulder-width apart. The band should be tight. Bend your knees slightly and move into half-squat position. Maintain the position, shift weight to left leg and take step sideways with the right leg. Repeat 8-10 times. Keep hips at level during the movement. Slowly shift your weight and switch legs. Again take 8-10 side steps.
Plantar Flexion: Secure the loop around the table. Sit with one leg straight wrapping the other end of the loop around the foot. Bearing the weight in your hands, lean backwards and put foot forward until shin is stretched. Bring your toes up back flexing the knee as far as moveable. Slowly bring back to original position. Repeat 10-12 on each side.
Lunges: Place the resistance band directly under the foot grasping each end in hand. Bend the arms and hold them to perform static upright row. Arms are to be kept undisturbed during the movement. Take a large step and lower until knee touches the floor. Push back though front quad muscle to beginning position. Target 10-15 repeats.
Deadlift: Push back down and bend knees slightly in a bent over position with palms facing body. Pull through your core and raise your chest until you are in an upright position. Back should be straight and core kept tight. Slowly lower torso back and keeping shoulder over ankles regaining original position. Aim for 10-12 repeats.
