A Simple Celebration Before Holiday Mode 💓
Before our vacation started and before the year’s work officially ended, we had a simple but meaningful celebration with my coworkers. Nothing grand—just food, laughter, and moments that made the day truly special.
We also exchanged gifts, and it was such a fun challenge! Each of us had to buy seven gifts worth ₱50 each, based on the color we randomly picked. My color was pink, so I bought a pen and a hairpin for each of my coworkers. It was really enjoyable, and we all agreed to do this gift exchange again next time.
We honestly ate way too much 😂 even though the plan was to eat lightly so we’d be ready for the buffet at our Christmas party on December 19 (which is today!). Clearly, that plan didn’t work.
A special thank-you to Daddy, one of our oldest coworkers who is celebrating his birthday this month. Thank you for treating us today—we were happily full!
We also bought cassava cake and banana cake to support our former coworker’s small business. She resigned a few months ago and bravely started her own journey, and we’re so proud to support her.
We were extremely excited for our Christmas party! We prepared lots of games and practiced our dance again and again because we were aiming to finally win first prize this year 🏆😂
So off we went—we headed to Vikings MOA at 9:30 AM, even though the event would start at 10:30. While we were in the car, my coworker and I were laughing about how we skipped breakfast just to save space for the buffet 😂
Then something unexpected happened—the GSM driver heard that we were hungry and gave us snacks. It was a little embarrassing but incredibly kind. Thank you, kuya!
And then the party officially began 🎉
The games, the laughter, and the dancing—it was such a fun and memorable day.
Although I didn’t get to eat as much as I wanted because I was busy assisting the host and helping organize the event, it was all worth it. And then came the most awaited part…
We were announced as second prize winners again this year 😅
A little disappointing, but honestly, the other team truly deserved the win. Their performance was amazing.
Before ending this, I just want to say thank you, Lord, for another wonderful year in my workplace. Thank you for the teamwork, friendships, and good relationships we share. Even when work gets stressful, events like this remind us that we are not just coworkers—we support and help each other. This celebration wouldn’t have been possible without everyone’s effort.
Wishing everyone a joyful holiday season 🎄
And as for me, I’m officially starting my stay-at-home era today 😂
No more busy days—just K-dramas for the next two weeks 🍿📺💖
