Workshop 3.1 was a layout task where I had to form a composition using 7 various sized boxes to fit inside either a 12cm x 12cm or a 10cm x 14cm box used as portrait or landscape. For the first part of the task I had to produce 10 layouts at a 90 degree angle for the second I had to do 5 further at a 45 degree angle and then finally 5 drawings using both 90 and 45 degree angles. I was originally thinking very linear and using columns but as the task went on I began to appreciate the balance of the layout and space and started to create some interesting compositions especially once I starting messing about with the 45 degree ones.
