25th Novemeber- RIBA stages of work Today in our Applied Professional Practice session we covered the RIBA plan of work. This covers 8 stages of work starting from 0 with strategic definition, 1 preparation and brief, 2 concept design, 3 developed design, 4 technical design, 5 construction, 6 hard over and closeout and finally 7, in use. This discusses tasks such as core objectives, planning and sustainability checkpoints. Although this was a lengthy session with lots of information, it was extremely valuable as I think I will be able to use these stages to plan my final major project and by referring to these stages I will also be making sure I cover all the necessary information. Another reason this might be useful is that by using these stages It will hopefully prepare me a little more for the professional work after uni.
