Work, Study, Play - Blizzard must have sprinkled Hearthstone with crack
I know Hearthstone has been out for a little while on PC, but I recently decided to jump in with the iPad release. There's good news and there's better news, depending on how you view it.
1. Hearthstone works just fine on an iPad 2. If you have problems with it running after installing it - reboot your iPad.
2. I'm hooked on this game like it was made out of crack. Good job Blizzard.
I'm working on a review for Hearthstone for the State Press, so look out for that this week. I'm also doing a story about H1Z1. I'll be honest, I wanted to put together a story on H1Z1 to pitch, but I just wasn't sure I could hit a unique enough angle that would sell a publication on it. Besides, I really like what I'm doing in the A&E section of the State Press.
I also managed to put a few more hours into Final Fantasy XIV on PS4. I'm kind of hoping to see more of the game soon. It very much follows the World of Warcraft style of solo MMO play. That doesn't bother me too much, but I'm level 14 and the closest thing to a group I've gotten was a few random players getting together to kill monsters for a FATE event - randomized events that give pretty good experience, similar to what happens in Rift.
I've only died maybe once or twice ever because most of the quests are pretty easily handled as you get them. But, I will admit I have might have been bitten by the MMO bug and that's dangerous for me. As if there's time to play an MMO when I've got Metal Gear Solid V: Ground Zeroes and South Park: Stick of Truth sitting on my desk waiting for their turn.
Now if you'll excuse me. I think I'm going to go try out Daemon Hatfield's suggestion to play a hunter in Hearthstone.
