Day 1
I was on a train moving to a new town. I packed my bags the day before, said goodbye to mom and dad, and here I am on this train. I’m on my own for the first time ever. My parents promised to write, but I’m sure they’ll enjoy their new freedom away from their adult child.
I was reading the newspaper when a cat came over to me. He introduced himself to me and asked a lot of different questions. “You are moving to Azaria? I never heard of that place!” ... Well I’m sure not many have heard of that place. It’s a new town that is being developed. I really wanted a new start somewhere and a new developing town seemed like the best choice.
Soon I was walking out of the station to this bright new town. The air was fresh and clean smelling compared to the musky old train smell that flooded my nostrils for the last few hours. . The sky was so clear, barely any clouds in the sky. I could defiantly get used to this place if the weather is as nice as this all the time.
“HI! You must be the new mayor!!” said a yellow dog who was walking towards me. I blinked a few times processing what she had just said to me. I told her I had no idea what she was talking about. This wasn’t the reason why I was here. She explained to me that my parents had signed me up for this job, and that the old mayor was long gone in retirement. I sighed and thought, “They already planned out me new life for me?” After a lot of convincing and meeting my fellow town members, I decided to give this mayor thing a try.
My first few duties of being the mayor seemed simple, buy a house and get my ratings as a mayor up. How hard can that be exactly? ... Well harder than I thought.
I met with Tom Nook about buying a house. It costs 10,000 Bells to build one?! I almost shit myself. How can I afford that already? I did just move here after all. There isn’t a new mayor discount is there? That answer is a solid NO... I guess that means I’ll be sleeping in a tent for tonight. Not to complain since the weather is nice. I hope after some rest I can earn enough bells to pay off my house.
