Jolene is a female Toad whose residents are in Glitzville, and was the assistant of Grubba. She and Grubba work in the Glitz Pit. Secretly, she sends E-mails to Mario, calling herself "X". After Mario defeats Macho Grubba, Jolene walks in and tells him that she is actually the sister of the old champion of the Glitz Pit, Prince Mush. Prince Mush disappeared, and Jolene suspected Grubba of kidnapping him.
So she got a job as his secretary, so that she could learn his secrets. She also revealed that she was actually "X", and had sent Mario the Emails so that he would unknowingly help her uncover the mystery, as she thought he would be the only one who could defeat Grubba. She goes on to question the defeated Grubba about her brother, but Grubba says simply that Prince Mush "ain't around no more". Grief stricken, Jolene is surprised when Prince Mush hops out of the Gold Star Grubba was using to power his machine.
Grubba had been using Prince Mush to give the Crystal Star more power. Happily reunited with her brother, Jolene went on to become the manager of the Glitz Pit, taking over Grubba's duties. This was until she went for a political position. With her resume, she contacted Princess Peach and Toadsworth and convinced them to become the Representative for the Mushroom Kingdom at the World Council. When not at work, Jolene can be found at a nearby juice bar.

- A Claim is never "right" or "wrong". A Claim is initially considered an opinion from a concerned member of the Human Species regarding local/National initiatives of importance or immanent danger to all humans. Peers can come to regard a Claim as of lesser importance/not immediately relevant to the Globe, or as too subjective or just plain silly, or as trolling - all expressed in review by numbers as stated above.
