The William Hill #CheckoutChallenge
30 seconds to correctly shout out as many double finishes as possible. We asked various members of the PDC Darts family to see how far up the leaderboard they can get. These are professionals in the world of sport, and they’re here to win it.
First up, we asked 2015 William Hill World Darts Champion Gary Anderson. He’s been known to have had some double trouble in the past but is that because he doesn’t know his out shots well enough?
He claims not have thrown a competitive darts in 13 years but you wouldn’t think that watching 1995 World Darts Championship turned Sky Sports pundit and PDC Director, Rod Harrington
Moving on from the players, and former players, we asked some of the people who don’t throw darts for a living to take on the #CheckoutChallenge.
First up was Dave Allen, self-titled PDC Teaboy, but in truth a lot of what you see at the darts is down to its Media Manager - but in truth, he does make a lovely cup of tea.
Chris Murphy eats, breathes and sleeps darts but does he know how to finish when you’re on 155 and have three darts in hand. You bet he does!
Known as the voice of darts, Russ Bray is one of the most famous people in the sport outside of the players. If you don’t recognise his face, you’ll have heard him calling as a referee for the PDC.
A man that shouts out the scores for the players at the highest level of the game would surely score highly... wouldn’t he?
