Player worldbulding under cut :D
My idea of players is that they're largely like, a core at their center. This holds all their information like gamertag, species, magic, etc. This is summarized by their player magic, and every player has a unique magic signature. They can do lots of various things that NPCs can't do, most importantly of which is creating worlds and servers.
Players can change their form at will, but any inherent magic abilities aren't changed by this, and can only be changed in very specific situations (like a servers god interfering, or someone meddling in another person's code). Their forms have to be relatively humanoid, except for a few exceptions like shapeshifters or those who are in worlds/servers that are modded.
All players can access the code and mess with it, but only certain players know how to innately.
Some players cores can mutate! Either at creation or gained later on, these cores function differently to your normal core. Typically this is gained by age or world corruption. Some notable types (re: the only ones I've come up with so far) are Core Fractures (single- and multi- player types), Hardcore cores, and Void cores
Core fractures!
There are two types, the first being single-player core fractures. Basically, one core is made, and any clones of that core are not separate players, but instead act as "bodies" for the host core, allowing the player to inhabit one at a time. Depending on the players knowledge in handling them, they can have the other cores act autonomously, doing simple tasks or acting like an NPC. (Based off of Geminitay's characters, as she's said they're all her except for s1 Gem)
The second type of fracture are multi-player core fractions. This is when one core is created, but splits itself between two or more player bodies. Each "chunk" of the core goes to a separate body, registering as a separate player. Upon a players permadeath, the core piece doesn't fade, instead splitting itself evenly amongst the other players. When the players are together, they feel a bit stronger. (Based off a friend's minesona- sadly they aren't here to tag :P)
Hardcore cores! These cores are, whether through age, corruption, or some other terrible happening, lose the ability to reform themselves upon player death. Only very strong magic can override this limitation, and in most cases, the player has 1 life, as they will permadie if they are forced to undergo a respawn. (Based off (most notably) Philza, keeping his 1 life theming from his hardcore series and dsmp character)
Void cores! When at creation (and occasionally through very powerful interference), the core mutates itself to be part void in nature. They're very unstable and have to keep themselves in check, but gain a wide range of abilities. They tend to be longstanding leaders or outcasts, and are often deemed "cursed" by other players. (Inspired by CaptainSparklez, just in general.)
Player clones are players that, upon creation, are close enough in magic signature to a particular core that already exists. As a result, the cloned core can take certain aspects of the original core, including gamertag and abilities. Rarely do clone cores and original cores interact, but if they both find themselves on the same world, one will change its gamertag to allow the world to read them as separate people. (This includes camera accounts (falsesymmetry vs truesymmetry), alternate universes (dsmpTommyinnit vs osmp!Tommyinnit), and probably more I can't think of right now :P)
