@worldofsenelfy doesn’t like phones; from here
Ilyas’ phone beeped. Oh, how he always hated it when his phone beeped. He hated how that annoying sound drew his eyes to the screen and made him read the letters. Who else but the witch could be responsible for the beeping? Ilyas swore that, if he were to turn his head and look at her right now - because she was sitting right there - she would be smirking and giggling, just because she’d managed to interrupt his reading.
He didn’t look at her, but he did look at the phone. The message was.. expected. As quick as he could - Ilyas was not so good with this phone thing - he typed a reply, send it and went back to his book.
TXT - VIV: I’m not
She's sitting right there, literally on the other side of the couch, just enough distance to make Ilyas feel safe only about half. Ivakir seemed to be preoccupied with something very important - she was painting her toenails.
A normal person could have said something instead of sending a message. But a smart person knows that there was a whole strategy in sending messages to someone who was just inches from you. Ilyas's face, before that so calm, the face of a man who is immersed in his world and who fenced himself off from earthly worries, suddenly this beautiful face changed when the mobile phone began to vibrate. At such moments, Ilyas's face took on a pained expression, as if he suddenly had a tooth or a stomach ache. For some reason, Ivakir loved that expression.
Ilyas didn't like cell phones. He didn't seem to like anything that could be considered comfortable and modern. Sometimes Ivakir wondered why he hadn't run off into some forest and built a booth there. This person seemed to be deliberately avoiding everything what made life convenient. It wasn't the first mobile phone she'd bought him. She found the first phone in a trash. "It was an accident," Ilyas told her. What happened to the second phone, history was silent. Perhaps an equally sinister fate befell it. The third phone was still alive though. Probably because Ivakir threatened Ilyas that she would not give out a salary next time if Ilyas continued to "lose" phones.
Ivakir’s phone - in worn stickers and with a broken screen - vibrated, but she was in no hurry to take it, as if the message was not for her.
