We visited London soon after the centennial anniversary of the end of WWI, and we were impressed by the tributes to the veterans and fallen soldiers of the British isles and former imperial countries. I was glad to see a monument in specific recognition of soldiers from former colonies, since so much is owed to them. Sorting through my Grandad (1st on the right in the back row) newly discovered #WW1diary. He was part of the Post Office Rifles I believe. He never got to the front as he became ill and, so the story goes, his entire platoon were wiped out. #londonregiment #postofficerifles #worldwaronecentenary
