I know you said you don't like safety-assist features and touchscreens and so on in cars (me neither for various reasons), but what's your opinion on fully self-driving cars? GM's subsidiary Cruise is getting pretty far with it, the Cruise Origin is fully autonomous and has no steering wheel or pedals or anything that the passenger can control. Afaik they're being rolled out as a taxi service, not a consumer product, which I think is interesting. From what I know about the programming and robotics in the Origin, they kind of reinvented the wheel with how a motor vehicle works. Thoughts?

i have mixed feelings about them, but my main one is that unless every other car on the road is self driving they’re never gonna be all that safe to be around. human drivers are too unpredictable and erratic for a computer to fully safely incorporate itself into everyday traffic. like i cannot imagine a self driving car managing in atlanta or boston, cities where people drive like there’s no lanes or rules half the time. maybe the tech will reach a point where it’s safe but i just don’t trust it right now.

now if they want to automate cars that drive in a specific lane or separate road that only has automated cars that could work but oops just invented trains again that’s just trains (genuinely if any vehicle should be automated it should be trains imo)

Yes, it looks like World War Three (WW3) is coming. It has been building up for Years, lots of chances for both Sides to turn back, but no.
