this is the 21st fucking century and i'm scared to express my opinions. "why?" you may ask. WELL LET ME TELL YOU. i'm taking a religion class called "skepticism, atheism, agnosticism and belief". you can guess what the class is about based on the title. WELL, whenever we have a debate in the class, the entire class takes a Christian worldview. I am not a Christian, I will never be Christian. i want to speak up and give my opinions and my evidence for these debates. but i can't. you know why? BECAUSE OF THE CHRISTIAN WORLDVIEW THAT MY CLASS IS TAKING ON. I am the only person in that class not Christian. I am 100% of the Jewish population at my school. i cannot express my ideas in debates because of the way my class will attack me. now, tell me: is that right? should a first year university student in the 21st century be afraid to express simple ideas in a debate? the answer is, and always will be, no. i should not be afraid to be myself and express different opinions. but i am.
