it's past midnight after a strenuous day of shaking and crying during a surprise dental procedure and then running a bunch of errands and watching eraserhead for the first time.. and now i'm thinking about woodstein so bad i had to listen to don't forget me by harry nilsson for the first time in over a month (because i wrote a choir arrangement of it and then never wanted to hear it again) and oh my fucking god this song is so beautiful

like freaking. stop. just stop it. stop. the way there's this obvious deep affection but the speaker is holding back from it initially?? and the way that their separation is clearly so painful but it wouldn't be if only they could know for certain that the other person would think about them???? the emphasis on memory and remembering as interchangeable with/inextricable from love?? the changing seasons and the marriage allusion and the aging as well idk just shoot me now
