✗ ; ——— His question had Nakoma wondering.. Had she sought him out? She didn’t.. Think so. Not deliberately. Or perhaps she’d begun to seek him in her dreams? That did tend to happen sometimes. Regardless, whether she had been purposefully looking or not, she found him. And he was here, and.. Remarkably real.
She greeted him with a small bow, her gaze not once breaking from his. Nakoma interacted with other spirits fairly regularly, of course, but rarely did she encounter one existing on the mortal side of the veil as she was. What bound him to this plane, she wondered.
To be called by her spirit name puzzled her for a moment, but only for a moment. She couldn’t remember the last time someone outside the fade addressed her as such, nor did she quite understand why it felt strange still. It’s not like it was wrong. It was what she was.
“Nakoma.” she said, quietly. Hesitantly, as if she didn’t quite believe her own words. “My name is.. Nakoma.”
She lifted her gaze to look up at him.
“I’d like to see the orphanage.”
