It was mostly the lack of crowds that made her enjoy this time of the day better. Of course most people stayed at home during this time due to the dangers the night could sometimes possess, but Reina never noticed. Of course it was only a matter of time before she ran into someone or something potentially dangerous. Until that day came the girl would continue to wander at night. Now this didn't mean she never ran into people at night, she did, but they were never dangerous. The real question was, would tonight be any different?

My mom and I had a long discussion (which I'm thankful for because our spat the other day is fully resolved) and at one point I started with

"I can never tell if it's the way you raised me, or just the way I am, but..."

and she started to say it was probably a mix of both but I was like

"Oh, you don't even know what I'm talking about, wait"

and talked about how I always try my best to NOT push buttons and go out of my way to do stuff in others' sake, try not to inconvenience people, etc

I think I'm just hypersensitive to others' feelings and when things make them angry, I'm angry because someone made my friends upset, sad, etc. etc. and am perceptive to the emotions of others as well

and she went on to say that she still stands with that it's a mix of my own ways and her teachings

Because even when I was too young to understand sayings like "You have to be nice and kind to others, sweetie" I was always the first to pat someone's leg when they were sad

One embarrassing thing my family will never let go is the time one of our cats (that we put to sleep a few years ago) got sick in the car I rolled the window down and said "It's okay, it's fresh air, see!"

Oh, man. It's fresh air. I still wanna punch my bro every time he brings it up but it's a good example of the hypersensitivity thing

It's difficult to be the one person who is always nice, but... it's not like I try to be that way, I just am. Just like when others aren't, they're not trying to be insensitive. And I wouldn't change that about them or that about me.
