Don't Dwell On It {Kyouko & Kaworu}
Once again, back to the start. There wasn't really any point in changing, or advancing, or moving forward. But hey, there was one ideal she had left in tact- live for yourself, because no one else matters in the end. It was true, wasn't it? Everyone else had been able to condemn her without a second thought, some just glad for the trial to be over so they could get back to their own lives. Maybe, fleetingly, she'd hoped that someone might mourn over her death, but she didn't blame them if they didn't. Hell, she wouldn't have mourned herself! Murderers don't deserve the courtesy, whether it's their fault or not.
Still, she remembers someone that had fought for her safety, and offered his own life in exchange for hers. It was funny, because he'd been the primary reason she'd been found guilty. Back during the moment, she'd thought him an idiot for trying to act in her stead, but now she almost felt... grateful. She didn't even know him, but he seemed to care. Still, she tried to convince herself that that was just plain stupid. That kind of kindness does nothing for anyone.
Kyouko was on one of her daily food trips, strolling out of the cafeteria and crunching an apple in hand. Her routine was all the same, and there wasn't a point in avoiding the cafeteria anymore. Sticking to the past would just be a waste of whatever time she had.
And here that guy was, speak of the devil. Kyouko couldn't really remember his name if she'd ever heard it at all, but either way she lowered her head, allowing her hair to sweep across her features. Her headstrong will was clashing with the rest of her.
"Out of my way," she grumbled, placing a palm on his chest and moving him slightly aside. No, she didn't want to be questioned about anything, but if anyone would, it would probably be him.
