These delicious macarons are a delightful treat for any occasion. With a crisp outer shell and a soft, chewy interior, they are sure to impress your friends and family. Customize them with your favorite colors and flavors!
Ingredients: 1 cup almond flour. 2/3 cup powdered sugar. 2 large egg whites. 1/4 cup granulated sugar. Food coloring optional. Flavoring extract e.g., vanilla, almond, or raspberry.
Instructions: Preheat your oven to 300F 150C and line a baking sheet with parchment paper. In a food processor, combine almond flour and powdered sugar. Pulse until well mixed. In a separate bowl, beat the egg whites until soft peaks form. Gradually add granulated sugar and continue to beat until stiff, glossy peaks form. Optionally, add food coloring and flavoring extract at this stage. Gently fold the almond flour mixture into the egg white mixture until it reaches a smooth, thick consistency. Transfer the mixture into a piping bag fitted with a round tip. Pipe small circles onto the prepared baking sheet, leaving space between each one. Tap the baking sheet on the counter to remove air bubbles, then let the macarons sit at room temperature for about 30 minutes to form a skin. Bake in the preheated oven for 15-18 minutes, or until the macarons are set and have developed feet. Remove from the oven and let them cool completely on the baking sheet. Once cooled, carefully remove the macarons from the parchment paper and fill them with your desired filling e.g., ganache, buttercream, jam. Assemble the macarons by sandwiching them together. Store in an airtight container in the refrigerator for 24 hours before enjoying for best flavor and texture.
