who & what: everyone (open) when & where: during event 002 (the hide & seek), eastern forest
First, it was her pearl necklace that went missing. Then, it was Amaros Coralin’s ceremony necklace that followed suit. And now, Izumi ❝ Umi ❞ Tokugawa, the merfolk owner of Oyster Royale, was sorted into a search group without a single other merfolk? These are most definitely crimes against humanity merfolk, and all of them must be put to an end, with the perpetrator, or perpetrators, hopefully suffering the worst punishment available. Of course, deep down, Umi knew she was getting carried away. Her search group not having another merfolk was barely an issue, if only annoying because of the simple fact that she was hoping she could unload some of her anguish to someone who would be able to relate. Outsiders might only take to the missing necklaces as nothing more than misplaced accessories. But to her, to Amaros, and to their people, they were more than disappeared trinkets. Each one of them, her pearls and the ceremonial jewels, told a story about their people. With a scowl and the tenacity of a dedicated truffle pig, Umi committed her best efforts in the search for anything remotely helpful to the cause. Surely, she believed, they would all find something of use, something that would point them in the right direction, to where the lost items and maybe even their greasy handed villains where. Perhaps it was her gifted intuition, or just dumb luck, or maybe even just her natural need to be close to water, but when Umi found herself drawn to a nearby river, she also found herself a shell imprinted with what seemed like numbers on it. She quickly alerted those around her, hopeful they could help and were there to help, ❝ I think I found something! ❞
