Want to come back to RP horde. Can't decide between usong a character I'm not entirely satisfied with but "fits" the lore so it won't turn into a witch hunt or RP my half-elf whom I love and be crippled with fear I'll be shunned and mocked. Help.
Well, traditionally Half Elves are more “accepted” by the Alliance what with the Late Theramore being one of the biggest population centers for them before it got cratered which I’m sure caused an exodus etc. That’s not to say that a half elf wouldn’t exist in say Silvermoon though, or hell I suppose even Orgrimmar. Despite the lore trying to nudge half-elves towards Alliance, the Horde is all about uniting outcasts together; taking in the ‘unwanted’ and the shunned and so on. Though of course a half-human-half-elf would have its own share of difficulties and prejudices to deal with which could be compelling character development if you don’t fall into the trope-trap lol.
Idk, Anon, honestly the “politic” answer is to just say “RP what you want” regardless of lore and so on but I think it’s better to say “A clever writer can sell almost anything with some effort and critical thinking”. =) Good luck!
