This month, WRAFS on Tour are celebrating the uniform. We all wore one, and it is one of the many things that we have in common. Uniforms help unite people. They give us a sense of belonging. They allow us to recognise one another. They let others recognise particular groups of people. From the first uniforms we wear – at school, at Cubs or Brownies, at cadets to the uniforms many of us wear in our jobs – not just the armed forces but nurses, fire fighters, police, Red Cross volunteers, paramedics supermarket staff, bus drivers, hairdressers and fast-food restaurant staff. Uniforms are part of all our daily lives. The WRAFS on Tour ladies have been challenged to get as many photographs as they can with people in uniform over the month of July, (see how many different uniforms you can see in all the photographs this month). So whatever uniform you wear – we salute
