I like the way you think

Nya was certain that she had never, not once in her life, felt a greater despair. Garmadon had taken everything. The Bounty had been destroyed. Her brother, gone. Her boyfriend, gone. All she had left was Lloyd.
And somehow, between the two of them, she was the lucky one. Lloyd had it so much worse.
He had lost the same people she had by the hands of his own father. His father who he’d lost not once, but twice, and who had been brought back only to soullessly murder almost everyone he cared about.
Between the two or them, Lloyd had it so. Much. Worse. Nya had to be strong. She needed to be, now more than ever. It didn’t matter how badly she wanted to scream until her voice gave out and sob until she ran out of tears and drop to her knees and never get up again. She couldn’t do any of that, because Lloyd needed her.
They were all each other had left.
They’d been holed up in an abandoned house for the past two days. Soon they would need to move before they were discovered, and they’d have to move soon again after that.
Nya had never felt more alone. Not even when she’d been trapped for two full days with Nadakhan and his crew, being prepared for a wedding no less. It was a time she hated to think back on, but it had happened.
Had it though?
It didn’t matter. What mattered was that this was real. There wasn’t going to be a magical reversal of everything horrible that had happened until only two people in the entire world remembered it. This was a waking nightmare, and Nya had never felt more powerless.
“Nya?”
She startled, nearly latching onto the nearest weapon before she realized that it was just Lloyd, standing in the doorway and looking very much like the kid that he was.
What the hell was he doing awake? It had to be past three in the morning, and he needed his rest.
“What’s up?” She asked, sitting up further than she already was. If something was wrong, despite how exhausted she was, she was going to protect him.
Please let everything be okay.
“I just... I can’t sleep.” He said, awkwardly shuffling further into the room. “I just... nightmares, you know?”
She absolutely knew.
“And, well, whenever I got really bad nightmares... before, one of the guys would always let me sleep next to them, and I just thought... nevermind, sorry I woke you up—“
Before he could get himself out of the room completely, Nya was grabbing him by the sleeve, stopping him. Nothing sounded better than sleeping snuggled up to her little brother, especially right now.
“Get over here, green bean.” She said, and even in the dark, the smile that crept onto Lloyd’s face was blinding. It had been too long since either of them had smiled, and his smile brought one to her face too.
It was a good feeling.
That night, they both got more sleep than either of them had in far too long.
