Resistance is never futile...
I'm so glad Dark of the Moon is no longer streaming on Netflix; I currently have limited access to TF eps I haven't seen and the new season of Doctor Who doesn't start till Satuday (although I'm waiting for Sunday to watch, because, poor Hubs, having to share his birthday with series premieres [most famous being the Beast Machines incident of 1999....]) And try as I may, I just can't get into the 5th Doctor eps...I don't know, I think Teagan annoys me. I'm not quite certain.
But back to DotM, I'm resisting because my track record is that the other three movies had the same formula: explosions, bouncing cleavage and arse shots (not to mention gross misogynistic characterisation), weak plot, and not enough robot eye candy* to make it worth sitting through two-plus hours of an otherwise painful script, and my liver hasn't forgiven me for the Twilight incident (I don't remember what happened after the baseball scene; the casualties I found when I came back online included an empty bottle of Crown Royale and many, many cans of Moxie. Now that I think about it, I don't remember much about the movie prior to the baseball scene, except for Bella's dad totally missing the opportunity in blowing off Edward's head, but I digress.) Maybe the rumours are true, and the new director taking over for TF5 will renew my faith in the movie franchise. But I digress. Then again, Hubs did point out that if I wanted to see CG Wreckers, I should watch TF:Prime again. Primus, I love Wheeljack, Bulkhead, and Miko. But I digress.
*Ad Addendum: I would like to take this moment to say, although i thought the movies were Swarm excrement plot- and character-wise, the robot designs were quite interesting, especially Crosshairs in AoE, and it took both the Hubs and Bumford to finally drill into my head that no, that wasn't Bludgeon siding with the autobots, although Ken Watanabe would have been my first choice (Scott McNeil would have been second) to voice Bludgeon if there was ever a G2 audio adaptation. But I digress.
LOOK! Magnus mun, there's your proof!
