hello! how do you make a sim "pop out" of the image?
Hi nonny, it is pretty easy, and even though this might look confusing, it takes less than a minute! (hope this is helpful)
🍓How to make a sim pop out (Mini tutorial)✨
1. Open your picture and make a new layer on top
2. Pick the rectangle tool, deselect “fill” (if it is already selected) and select stroke. I always pick white, but you can do this really with any color.
3. Make a rectangle around your picture, it is going to work as a frame. Then, go back to the picture layer and click on the little eye next to the rectangle layer to make it invisible
4. Pick the “polygonal lasso tool” and select the part of your sim you want to pop out of the frame.
5. Once you’ve selected the area, in my case is the top of her beret, press cmd+c on your keyboard (ctrl+c if you’re on windows), then go back to the rectangle layer, make it visible again. Then, press cmd+v (ctrl+v for windows) and it will make a new layer for the selection. This is basically a good old copy paste.
6. As you can see it already pops out, but there’s a weird part of the selection that pops out that we don’t want to, to fix this, make a new layer mask by clicking on that little icon below.
7. It creates a new white window next to the selection layer. Grab the brush tool and pick a black color. Finally, paint in the white window the part of the selection that you want to erase, in my case was that weird part of the beret.
And that’s it ✨🦄
