It wasn't unusual for the angel of death to get bored. Sitting alone in the empty ruins of an old city in heaven. His days more or less the same. Reap some souls and then return to heaven to stare up at the empty sky. He couldn't even hear the voices of the other angels. That's how far away from the main part of heaven he was.
He didn't really care, honestly. Heaven wasn't as fun as one would assume. It was just less chaos and killing than hell was. But less tame than earth could be. All in all, it wasn't his favorite place to spend his downtime. So with a deep sigh, he pushed from the old crumbling building he was sitting on and plunged through the clouds.
A portal opening up just below the cloud to swallow him up. He plumped through the other side as his heels hit the cracked streets of hell. He lifted his head as a smile crossed his features. He dusts himself off before he let his feet just carry him through the rumble and tumble of sinners.
He moved out of the way with ease as he hummed. It had been a while since he had visited these streets. He was thinking about maybe stopping by that one ice cream shop he liked. The ice cream there actually screamed. It was rather amusing, and he never once questions how it did that. Not that it mattered. It was still good. It was also surprising cold. Yet it didn't melt in the hot weather.
He patted his pockets and then grinned when he found some of the leftover money he still had on him from the last visit. He spun on his heels as he avoided another attempted stabbing. Stepping over some of the bodies that littered the streets and made his way down the block.
Upon approaching the ice cream place, he noticed that the shop's design had changed, and a new face was manning it. He just assumed that the other sinner must have either been killed or was simply on a day off. He shrugged, as long as the flavor was still good, that was all that mattered to him.
He approached the line, looming over most of the sinners. He had ordered a nice plain chocolate flavor that was just as good as he remembered, and the screams coming from it were just the right addition. Not overly loud, but not soft enough to be drowned out in the screaming from right in front of his face.
He rounded another corner, just planning on enjoying his little walk. When his eyes landed on yet another new addition to hells scape. It was a lovely little flower shop. It almost seemed unnatural. It was something that he wouldn't think he would find in hell, of all places. However, it wasn't often that things surprised him. Walking toward the little shop, he paused to tilt his head to the side.
His eyes sweeping over the front of the building. He then let out another hum before long, slender fingers wrapped around the door knob and he pushed inside.
