Just had an idea for a Transformers story. Where there is an unaffiliated cybertronian asteroid mining group and they are completely cut off from all supplies and communication.
They have to get enough energon to feed them and stock up the reservoir for when they can't find enough.
The only thing keeping this outpost running is the constant assembly of new cybertronians to replace the ones that die.
Their resources are limited and the need for recycling of all they get their hands on. Including the metallic animals of space and their fallen Comrades.
