Isn't it weird to think that younger siblings have known you all their lives but they haven't known YOU your while life?

I'm probably pretty late to the party with this realization, but I don't feel well, it's after midnight, and watching Jurassic Park gives me feelings - in addition to the prerequisite terror. So: the line at the very beginning. "Why didn't Hammond come himself?" to which his amber supervisor responds "his daughter is getting a divorce." The first three thousand times I saw this, I thought it was just a throwaway line. But tonight I realized that it's not. At all. After the initial T-Rex attack, Lexie keeps yelling about how "he left us!" most obviously talking about the lawyer. However, the quote from before leads me to believe that they were both (Lexie specifically) struggling with abandonment because their father had left their mother (and themselves).

Anyone else feel like they exude some sort of magnetic force that fudges up all the technology around them? Or are we just particularly cursed to always get the WORST electronics?

1. WHAT WAS YOUR Last beverage: Orange Fanta straight from the bottle. Last phone call: My boyfriend called me earlier today to confirm some plans, but that conversation lasted all of three seconds. My last extended phone call was with my mom two days ago. We talked about archaeology.  Last text message: “Thanks for dinner <3<3”  Last song you listened to: Give Me Love by Ed Sheeran. Last time you cried: I watched Up on Thursday directly following a conversation with my elderly Nana. Many tears were had that night. 

2. HAVE YOU EVER Dated someone twice: … kind of? I broke up with a guy for all of ten hours in high school, but we ended up back together. Does that count?  Been cheated on: Sadly, yes. He wouldn’t call it cheating in the physical sense, but that’s what it was.  Kissed someone and regretted it: In hindsight, yes, but never the moment right after.  Lost someone special: yes.  Been depressed: I’ve never been prescribed medicine for it, so no. Been drunk and threw up: Nope! I can’t even handle too much soda, much less alcohol. 

3. THREE FAVORITE COLORS: Dark maroon, olive-to-sage green, coral pink. 

4..LAST YEAR, HAVE YOU:

Made a new friend: YES. 

Fallen out of love: Not last year, no. 

Met someone who changed you: Yes. Very many.  Found out who your true friends are: my friends are so lovely that I’ve always known they’re true. Found out someone was talking about you: Nah.

5. GENERAL How many of your FB friend do you know in real life: 99.7%

6. FIRSTS First piercing: Just the ears!  First best friend: sweet girl from kindergarten, I cannot remember your name! First sport you joined: SOCCER. It became a life-long love affair.  First vacation: California as an infant. I have family there, so it’s usually where we go.  First pair of sneakers: Nikes? Are there Nikes for babies? 

7. RIGHT NOW Eating: Nah.  Drinking: Nope, about to grab some water though.  About to: write an essay.  Waiting for: inspiration, next Friday, an epiphany. 

8. YOUR FUTURE Want kids: YES. At least two .  Get married: I hope so. Career: Medical microbiology/pediactrics/authorship/paleontology. I love too many things. I know that bones and microbes will be involved. 

9. WHICH IS BETTER Lips or eyes: Eyes.  Hugs or kisses: A good hug can be as passionate as kiss to me, but I certainly don’t object to either.  Shorter or taller: I’m pretty short, so even short people are tall to me.  Older or younger: both old-yet-incredibly-goofy souls. 

Romantic or spontaneous: Romantic.  Nice stomach or nice arms: Stomach.  Sensitive or loud: Can you be loudly sensitive? ‘Cause that one.  Hook-up or relationship: RELATIONSHIP. Troublemaker or hesitant: A healthy mix of both is good for me. It depends on the situation. 

10. HAVE YOU EVER Kissed a stranger: Nope Drank hard liquor: Nope Lost glasses/contacts: All the dang time.  Sex on first date: If there ain’t a ring on this finger, than nothing is transpiring.  Broke someones heart: Most likely.  Been arrested: Nope. Turned someone down: Sadly, yes (it’s the worst feeling).  Cried when someone died: Yes.

11. DO YOU BELIEVE IN Yourself: Most of the time.  Miracles: Completely.  Love at first sight: very, very rare.  Heaven: Yes.  Santa Claus: I believe in the spirit of goodness and kindness during the holidays. If that spirit comes decked out in a red suit, then so be it.   Kiss on the first date: Depends on a lot of factors.  Angels: Yes.
