I'd not write a poem this time, I'd write a story instead. A story of times when living is a luxury, And survival an unaffordable deed. A story of times when two meals are a luxury, And just a piece of bread an unaffordable deed. A man walks in the store with eyes gleaming as he looks at the colors and sparkles in the store. Here, he works as a salesman and at home he cries. Because here he feels that living is a luxury, And survival is almost an unavoidable deed. Because here he feels two meals is a luxury, And just a piece of bread an unaffordable deed. He'd rather be in a world with no black & white, In a world where two meals are a modest, And the colors and sparkles don't pinch him all day. Beyond all of this, I'd rather see him in the store he sells shoes, Wearing shoes untorn, unbroken and unadulterated. He could be fine where he is, Happy and content, satisfied and relieved, In every moment he's alive. But it's my mind that wanders, In his reality and in my mind, The thought makes a house for today and rest of all tomorrows.
