writing advice everyone probably has heard before, but has helped me a lot when in doubt: if you're willing to write it, someone out there is going to be willing to read it.

When is it ok to stop writing fanfiction to write your own stories? Because I'm scared shitless to even dare...

I still have so much to write in this story. I'm more than half way through, yes, two thirds even. But the amount ahead still feels daunting.

I love writing, I love writing this story but I still get the 'is this even worth it?' thoughts. I mean if this becomes a book is it just another unhappy gay end? With so many books in the world who might read mine? And if they do, aren't I bought to get eviscerated for something? Queer founding fathers, not doing something historically accurate enough, missing something major, or just capitalizing on the Hamilton wave? I don't know. I wonder why I would put myself through all that when I have my safe little corner of the internet already? And even there, aren't people tired of it by now?

Wrote a scene yesterday that true-dinks gave me goosebump tingles all up and down my arms. I don't know if I'll ever be able to sell this book, but it's doing it for me.
