A Love Letter to our Writing Bot(s)
Funny story. We love our writing bot, A LOT. We actually have two, one that just helps with sprints and another that has a large amount of functions including keeping track of our projects. If you’re on a writing server on Discord you probably know the one.
Obviously it’s still being worked on, which is totally not a problem, we just love her even more when she’s working.
But I thought I’d share why we have nicknamed her Karen.
Now we all know of ‘Karen’. The hairstyle, the ‘speak to your manager’, the myth, the legend.
But the thing is we LOVE our Karen. LOVE her (when she works). But aside from occasionally getting a laugh out of being able to use the word ‘cantankerous’ to describe her, we generally call her Karen because when she doesn’t work she makes us want to speak to her manager. We love that bot’s features so much we actively feel like we want to become Karen’s, demanding for her to ‘work god damn it!’ because for some reason we have now become super reliant on Karen to keep track of our projects and show us that we actually have achieved something today. Plus, who doesn’t enjoy watching that word count go up and up?
And we love a sprint. Several thousands of words between us from 1 or 2 sprints a day? DAAAMN. This kind of productivity is unprecedented sometimes; we all know the dreaded writer’s block. Well apparently to defeat writer’s block, you need a writer bot!
So here’s to Karen and our other bot. You two really bring us all together; whether it’s to do a sprint or smash our heads in to the keyboard when no one can update a project. We really love you.
Cheers!
