I just realised I finished my first draft a year ago and I still haven’t revised the last third of my book. My editing style is different to most writers I follow. I do many rounds of edits on sections of the book before moving on. The chapters I have edited have had 4 to 5 drafts so far. It seems to be working. It’s unfortunate, though, because I didn’t realise this was my style. I bought Turtles All The Way Down at the start of my edits and said it was a reward for finishing draft 2.... I’ve had a book on my shelf for a year and denied myself reading it... this is madness. I’m thinking of doing a reading vlog.
