question about your writing comms: what if I have no idea how many words a story may take? I've always found that difficult to predict. does part of the discussion of what the buyer wants include like, an estimate of how many words you think you could make it? or what if I estimate wrong and it's more? or less? would you take additional payment for anytime it goes over, like those old call lines where it charges you so much per additional minute?
That's no problem!
Though please know that on BOTH my writing commission form AND where the link takes you on my tumblr I have VISUAL examples of each and every amount of writing available.
So, yeah, I have a link to a fic that's 500 words or so, one that's 1500, one that's 4300, etc. etc. just to help give YOU an idea.
If you're still unsure despite the visual examples that are given, you can tell me the idea and I will let you know how long 'I' think it could be.
For instance, if this story were meant to be 500 words, i'd tell you how that would look as opposed to a 3000 word version. Even further as an example:
Let's say you're story is about Harlequin finding a lucky penny.
A 500 word fic of this would be Harlequin finding a penny, shrugging and pocketing it, only for him to see Pierrot fall into a fountain and you, MC, asking him out on a date.
A 3000 word fic of this would go into much more shenanigans like perhaps everyone in town falls in love with him, pierrot starts groveling at his feet, columbina comes back to life, his parents say how much they love him, and now he's getting freaked out by this weird penny that won't leave him no matter what he does until a black cat walks by him. and now his luck is back to normal.
